Refund policy
Returns
We offer a 30-day return policy. This means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return.
To be eligible for a return:
- The book must be in the same condition that you received it
- It must be unused and unread
- It must be free of damage (no bent covers, creased spines, writing, stains, or folded pages)
- It must be returned in its original packaging (or equivalent protective packaging)
- You must provide proof of purchase
Books that show signs of use or damage will not be eligible for a refund.
To request a return, please email us at returns@chaptersagebooks.com with your order number and reason for return.
If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package.
Please note:
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (see below).
- Shipping charges from the original order are non-refundable.
- Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon arrival.
If you receive:
- A damaged book
- A defective item
- The wrong title or edition
Contact us within 7 days of delivery at returns@chaptersagebooks.com with photos of the issue.
If the issue is confirmed to be our error or damage in transit:
- We will cover the return shipping cost, or
- We may offer a replacement or refund without requiring a return (depending on the situation).
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable:
- Final sale items
- Gift cards
- Special orders or custom-ordered titles
- Clearance items
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges.
If you would like a different title, please return the original book (if eligible), and once the return is approved, you may place a new order.
Lost Packages
If your package appears lost in transit, please contact us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.
We will work with the carrier to investigate. Claims resulting from carrier error will be handled at our discretion.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.
If approved:
- Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
- Please allow up to 10 business days for processing
- Your bank or credit card provider may require additional time to post the refund
If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, please contact us.
